What a way to open the season. Thank you to everyone who packed the house at Dave & Buster's in Honolulu this past Sunday, September 13, for the Bills' road opener against the Houston Texans — the energy in the room was incredible, jerseys and flags everywhere, and it made every last second of that finish so much more fun to watch together.
And what a finish it was. Buffalo trailed 31-30 late in the fourth quarter before Josh Allen took over, leading the go-ahead drive and capping it with a 34-yard touchdown pass to Joshua Palmer. Allen finished the night with 357 total yards and 4 touchdowns, and picked up a career milestone along the way — his 80th career rushing touchdown.
The defense sealed it. With the Texans driving in the final seconds, Greg Rousseau forced a fumble from C.J. Stroud, and Terrel Bernard recovered it to lock up the win.
It's Buffalo's first road win over Houston since 2006, and a season-opening win worth celebrating. Thank you again to the whole Hawaii Bills Mafia for showing up and making Dave & Buster's feel like home. Let's do it again this week.
Go Bills! 🦬❤️💙
