Bills Mafia, we're 2-0. Buffalo beat Detroit 41-31 on Thursday night, and it happened on one of the biggest nights in franchise history — the first-ever regular-season game at the new $2.1 billion Highmark Stadium, in front of 60,644 fans.
Before kickoff, Hawaiʻi's own Auliʻi Cravalho — the voice of Moana, star of Mean Girls and Broadway's Cabaret — sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" to open the new building. A proud hometown moment for every Bills fan watching from the islands.
Josh Allen was everywhere: 5 total touchdowns, including 3 passing (a 43-yard strike to Josh Palmer, 16 yards to Dalton Kincaid, and 2 yards to Dawson Knox) plus 2 rushing scores, one of which was the first-ever regular-season rushing touchdown at the new stadium. James Cook ran for 134 yards and capped the win with a 1-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Detroit didn't make it easy. Jared Goff threw for 327 yards and 4 touchdowns, and Amon-Ra St. Brown had 9 catches for 142 yards and 2 scores. But Buffalo had the answers all night.
Thank you to everyone who packed Dave & Buster's Honolulu again for the Thursday night watch party — our usual spot, and it delivered as always. Great energy in the room for a big one.
Go Bills! 🦬❤️💙
